Pau Martí will join the professional peloton starting in 2026. The 20-year-old Spaniard—considered one of the greatest climbing talents of his generation—makes the step up to the WorldTour team after three seasons with the Premier Tech development squad.
Martí arrives in the pro ranks with very impressive credentials. The larger cycling audience first genuinely got to know the young Spaniard last year. Martí finished third in the overall classification of the Giro d'Italia for Under-23 riders—the Giro Next Gen—behind winner Jarno Widar and runner-up Pablo Torres.
This was certainly not a one-off performance. Martí continued his strong momentum this year, winning the overall at the Course de la Paix Grand Prix Jeseníky (the Peace Race for U23) and delivering a strong showing at the World Championships in Rwanda. In the road race, he crossed the line sixth. The climber has also already made his mark among professionals, winning a stage in the recent Volta a Portugal.

"Being part of a professional cycling team is something every young rider dreams of. I have cherished this dream since I was four years old. That’s when I started cycling and watching races on TV. So I can confidently say it’s a dream come true," Martí said on Premier Tech’s website.
Big step
"The development team has been crucial for my growth as a cyclist, and I am immensely grateful for everything they have done for me. I have made significant progress in recent years, but I want to keep improving over the next two seasons because I know it’s a big step forward. But I am ready to fulfill my duties and support the team leaders and my teammates."
