Start times time trial Tour of Valencia 2026 - will Remco Evenepoel deliver a knockout blow?

After the opening stage won by Biniam Girmay, a crucial stage for the GC contenders is on the agenda today in the Tour of Valencia. The riders face a significant amount of time trialing. And when it comes to time trials, Remco Evenepoel is the name that stands out. WielerFlits lays out the start times for the Belgian and his rivals.

On day two of the Tour of Valencia, the general classification will surely be shaken up. After several years of absence, the individual time trial is back. It's a time trial with two faces. In the first ten kilometers, riders must stay alert, with multiple corners, a short climb (with ramps up to 8%), and an at times tricky descent.

Once back down, the hardest part is behind, followed by seven flat and not too challenging kilometers to the finish in Alginet. This section has the fewest corners, giving pure time trialists a chance to reach dizzying speeds. The organizers even anticipate average speeds well above 50 kilometers per hour.

The first rider to roll off the start ramp, at 14:28, is American Eddy Huntsman from the modest APS Pro Cycling by Team Cadence Cyclery. Most riders start at one-minute intervals, except for the top-10 in the general classification, who start every two minutes. Remco Evenepoel is one of them: the top favorite for the stage and overall win begins his effort at 16:26.
