Israel-Premier Tech is busy these weeks searching for new sponsors. After the team removed Israel from its name for political reasons and Premier Tech moved to St Michel-Auber 93, the team was suddenly without a name for 2026. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the first potential sponsors are already being linked to the team.
Journalist Ciro Scognamiglio writes on X that the team is finalized with the signing of Biniam Girmay, but the new team name is still missing. The Italian immediately lists the rumors he has heard: "We've heard about a Swiss bank, Visit Rwanda, and a few others."
Earlier, the Italian had already reported that the team will race under a Swiss license in 2026. Within Israel Premier-Tech itself, no one doubts the team's continued existence. This month, the Irishman Daniel Benson received an internal email in which the team already wrote: "At this moment, we are having many discussions with potential partners and sponsors, so we expect to update you soon. (…) Nothing is changing in our preparation for 2026.
