The collaboration between Visma | Lease a Bike and Nike will continue for the foreseeable future. The American sports brand has been an important partner of the cycling team since the last Tour de France, and this partnership is now being further expanded.
Nike will be more visible at various occasions next year, according to the team’s press release. “From 2026 onwards, Visma | Lease a Bike riders will wear Nike shoes during podium and media moments. Staff members will also wear the iconic sneakers. In addition, everyone on the team will be equipped with Nike running shoes.”
Jasper Saeijs, Chief Business Officer of Visma | Lease a Bike, is enthusiastic about the expansion of the partnership. “Since the Tour de France, we are proud to wear the Nike Swoosh. Being able to expand our collection with Nike shoes already feels like a logical next step. We want to present our team both on and off the bike as premium and professional. I believe there is no better partner for that than Nike.”

Nike is no stranger to the cycling world. From 1996 through 2011, it sponsored the yellow jersey in the Tour de France. Later it also supplied the green, polka dot, and white jerseys in the main stage race. In 2012, Le Coq Sportif took over the sponsorship of these jerseys.
Nike was also a sponsor of Lance Armstrong from 1996 through 2012. The brand reached a personal agreement with the American soon after his comeback from cancer. With Mark Cavendish and (since April 2024) Demi Vollering, Nike now has individual deals. A custom cycling shoe was made for the Brit, while Vollering is an ambassador of the global brand.
