Stage 3 Arnsberg - Kassel (175.7km)
After the finish in Arnsberg, the city also hosts the start of the third stage. This could be called the queen stage, with 3,000 meters of climbing and a finish in Kassel, located in the German state of Hesse — not to be confused with the northern French town of the same name. The stage heads entirely eastward, with only three official climbs in the first 90 kilometers.
The second half of the stage is far from flat as well, but it only features two intermediate sprints and a bonus sprint just 3 kilometers from the finish at Tannenwäldchen, a small hill. From there, it’s a descent into the finish in Kassel.
