Alex Edmondson's cycling career has come to an end. The Australian has decided to wrap up his cycling journey at the age of 32. Edmondson rode the past three seasons for Picnic PostNL but was not offered a contract extension.
"As 2025 comes to a close, so does my cycling career," Edmondson begins his farewell post on Instagram. "It’s a sport to which I have dedicated everything for the past twenty years. Cycling has given me so much: lifelong friends, unforgettable experiences, and the chance to see some incredible places around the world."
"I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me along the way. Without you, I couldn’t have done it. Although I’m stepping away from racing, cycling will always remain a great passion of mine. I look forward to staying involved and hopefully giving back to the next generation. I’m closing one chapter now, but also beginning a new one. See you all."
