Andrey Amador seriously injured in hospital after crash

Andrey Amador is severely injured in the hospital. The Costa Rican, currently the national team coach, suffered a serious crash during training with the Costa Rican squad.

Amador crashed near Play Bejuco and was taken to the hospital in Parrita in critical condition. In Costa Rica, there was even fear for the life of the 39-year-old former pro, who rode for teams including Movistar and INEOS Grenadiers.

Fortunately, Costa Rican media brought better news on Saturday. Amador is currently stable but will remain in the hospital for the coming days for further examinations. His injuries will be precisely assessed there.
