Arnaud De Lie will not start in Tour of Bruges
At the announcement of his spring schedule, the Ronde van Brugge was still an important target, but Arnaud De Lie will not participate in the sprinters' race on Wednesday. The 24-year-old rider is missing from the final selection of his team Lotto-Intermarché.
In recent weeks, De Lie and his team have concluded that it is better to skip the Ronde van Brugge in favor of an even more important classic: In Flanders Fields. From Middelkerke to Wevelgem (March 29). This was reported by Sporza.
Lotto-Intermarché will therefore not have De Lie’s fast legs for the Ronde van Brugge on Wednesday, but still has two quick riders in the ranks, with young Steffen De Schuyteneer (recently fourth in the Bredene Koksijde Classic) and Vito Braet (second in the opening stage of Paris-Nice).
The seven-man selection of Lotto-Intermarché is completed by Cedric Beullens, Joshua Giddings, Lionel Taminiaux, Robin Orins, and the Dutchman Roel van Sintmaartensdijk.
The provisional start list features several big sprint names, including Jasper Philipsen, Dylan Groenewegen, Sebastian Molano, Sam Welsford, and Søren Waerenskjold.
