Christophe Laporte crashes in Ruta del Sol

A setback for Christophe Laporte in the Ruta del Sol. The Frenchman from Visma | Lease a Bike crashed during the final stage of the Ruta del Sol. It is still unclear what the extent of the damage is.

Laporte crashed in the finale of the fifth and last stage. The points classification leader, who won the opening stage earlier this week, went down on the descent of the Alto de la Primera Cruz. He stayed on the ground for a moment and did not continue.
