Neil Stephens will once again be part of the technical staff at Jayco AlUla starting next year. The 62-year-old Australian was one of the first staff members of the then GreenEDGE team, later worked with UAE Emirates and Bahrain Victorious, but now returns to his old team.
Jayco AlUla is very pleased to have signed the former pro rider as a team director. "Neil played a crucial role in our first major successes, including our first Monument win at Milan-San Remo in 2012 and also our first stage victory at the Tour de France a year later," the team stated in a press release. "We are confident that he will pass on even more valuable experience and knowledge to our performance-oriented staff."
"It’s great to return to the team after seven years," Stephens also said. "I’m really looking forward to it and it just feels like a natural match. I’m glad to be joining great colleagues I’ve worked with before, as well as meeting new people. And to experience again that unique way of working at GreenEDGE Cycling."

"I always felt that it would be a good idea to eventually return to GreenEDGE. Once the conversations with Brent (general manager Brent Copeland) and Gerry (team owner Gerry Ryan) got underway, it seemed like the right moment to come back. Everything fell into place quickly."
Selection for 2026
With Pascal Ackermann, Amaury Capiot, Alessandro Covi, Dries De Bondt, Andrea Vendrame, Finlay Pickering, Hamish McKenzie, and Wil Holmes, the team has already presented eight new recruits for 2026. This is balanced by the departure of well-known names such as Dylan Groenewegen, Filippo Zana, and Chris Harper.
