Eva van Agt is close to signing a contract with the French FDJ-SUEZ team. Several sources have indicated to WielerFlits that it is only a matter of time before the 28-year-old rider signs a multi-year deal with the French squad.
With this, Demi Vollering gains Dutch support once again. Two years ago, FDJ-SUEZ also signed Amber Kraak from Visma | Lease a Bike. This year, the team also features the Dutch riders Loes Adegeest, Nina Buijsman, and Lauren Molengraaf.
Van Agt spent three years riding for Visma | Lease a Bike. That team brought the Nijmegen rider over in the winter of 2022 from Le Col-Wahoo, where Van Agt made her breakthrough in 2022, debuting in the pro peloton and immediately riding the Tour de France.
This year, Van Agt was one of the key domestiques for Pauline Ferrand-Prévot in the Tour de France Femmes. It is known that FDJ-SUEZ has one of the largest budgets in the women's peloton and is fully committed to winning the Tour. With Van Agt, they are acquiring not only an experienced rider but also knowledge and expertise from the Dutch team.
