Giro 2026: most top 10 finishes are not from Visma, Lease a Bike, or UAE Emirates
Visma | Lease a Bike and UAE Emirates XRG are the teams that have won the most stage victories so far. The Dutch squad has already claimed five of the nineteen stages, while the Middle Eastern team has secured four. However, neither of these top teams is the most successful in terms of the number of top 10 finishes in this Giro. That is what data from Cyclingflash.com shows.
In addition to the two mentioned teams, Soudal-Quick-Step and XDS Astana are also having a triumphant Giro d'Italia. In fact, regarding the total number of top-10 finishes, these two teams rank second and first respectively. The Chinese-Kazakh formation has won three stages thanks to Guillermo Silva, Davide Ballerini, and Alberto Bettiol, but overall their riders have finished in the top 10 fifteen times. Matteo Malucelli, Christian Scaroni, and Diego Ulissi have also achieved top-10 results.
The Belgian WorldTeam has already pocketed three victories, all credited to points jersey wearer Paul Magnier. But Jasper Stuyven, Andrea Noviero Raccagni, Gianmarco Garofoli, and Dries Van Gestel have also reached the top 10. In third place, we still do not see Visma | Lease a Bike or UAE Emirates XRG, but Lidl-Trek. They have finished in the top ten thirteen times, yet they have not secured a stage win. The same applies to Tudor Pro Cycling, who rank fifth and have scored eleven top-10 placements.
Picnic PostNL Raisin at the bottom
At the bottom of the list are the least successful teams in this Giro d’Italia. The bottom ten teams in this list have all yet to claim a stage win and recorded the fewest top-10 finishes. Lotto-Intermarché, Groupama-FDJ United (three top-10 finishes), and Picnic PostNL Raisin (two top-10 finishes) lag behind. The Dutch squad especially stands out. Their best results so far have been a ninth place by Casper van Uden and a tenth place by Warren Barguil.
