Jonas Vingegaard 'extremely happy' with Paris-Nice overall win: "I just couldn't win this one"

Jonas Vingegaard was beaming after Paris-Nice when he spoke to the media. Although the Dane was narrowly beaten in the final stage, he looked back with great satisfaction on an "almost perfect day" in which he secured the overall victory. "I finally won Paris-Nice!" he said.

On his third attempt, the Dane has finally managed to win the race after once finishing third and once having to abandon. "I am extremely happy with this. This overall victory means a lot to me. This was the race I just couldn't win before, so now that I have, I am very proud."
