Visma | Lease a Bike has done its homework for the Vuelta a España 2025. The Dutch WorldTeam will start with a very strong lineup in Italy, where the Spanish Grand Tour begins this year. With riders like team leader Jonas Vingegaard, as well as Matteo Jorgenson and former winner Sepp Kuss (2023) in the squad, winning is an obligation for the team.
Several sources confirm to Cyclingflash.com and WielerFlits the eight riders that make up Visma | Lease a Bike’s selection for the Vuelta a España. Besides the Dane and the two Americans, these are Dylan van Baarle, Victor Campenaerts, Wilco Kelderman, Ben Tulett, and Axel Zingle. The name of Hungarian champion Attila Valter also came up in various places, but it became clear to us during the Tour de France that he would not participate. Valter will transfer to Bahrain Victorious next year.
Van Baarle and Kelderman raced the Giro d'Italia earlier this year, riding alongside team leader Simon Yates. Campenaerts made a very strong impression at the Tour de France and was perhaps Vingegaard's best domestique there.. The Belgian specifically transferred to Visma | Lease a Bike because he wanted to help win the Tour as a team. That didn’t happen, but with this selection, an overall victory in Spain is definitely within reach. Former winner Kuss also told Velo earlier that he will go as a helper for the Dane.

"I am really looking forward to the Vuelta," Jorgenson said to the American media. "I can make a step in my development there. Furthermore, the end of the year looks a bit easier with fewer travel movements and fewer smaller races. At the same time, I’ve never been successful in maintaining form after riding the Tour, so I hope I can hold on to the same condition from the Tour de France through to the Vuelta and races at the end of the year."
Tulett reaps the rewards of his efforts
At the start of the season, it was already clear that Tulett was one of the riders with a chance of selection for the Vuelta. The Brit turns 24 in just under two weeks and is having a strong season after a tougher 2024. He won the Internationale Wielerweek van Coppi & Bartali, finished twelfth in the Critérium du Dauphiné, and last week ended third in the Tour de l'Ain. Tulett also extended his contract earlier this year and gets a nice reward with this Vuelta selection.

The Vuelta is also a great boost for Zingle. The Frenchman entered the team with high expectations but has only raced 22 days so far this season after the second stage of the Tour of Denmark (Wednesday). This is entirely due to a heavy crash at the Four Days of Dunkirk, where he suffered multiple fractures – despite winning a stage and wearing the leader’s jersey. A hard blow, because at that time internally he was just designated to replace his compatriot Christophe Laporte in the Tour de France.
