Marlen Reusser aims for overall win at 2026 Vuelta Femenina and Tour Femmes
Marlen Reusser is fully focused on winning the overall classification at the 2026 Vuelta a España Femenina and the Tour de France Femmes. This means she will not start the Giro d'Italia this year, where last year she had to concede the victory to Elisa Longo Borghini due to stomach flu in the final weekend.
The Swiss time trial world champion kicks off her season this weekend at the Challenge Mallorca. After that, Reusser also plans to race the UAE Tour, followed by a limited number of spring classics. She will definitely race the Strade Bianche, Tour of Flanders, Flèche Wallonne, and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
This year’s Tour de France Femmes will be special for Reusser. The Tour starts in Lausanne, Switzerland, and includes two more stages on Swiss soil.
Liane Lippert will definitely join Reusser at the Vuelta a España Femenina and Tour de France Femmes. The German rider also won a stage at the Giro d'Italia last year. She is also setting her sights on the spring classics.
The same applies to Cat Ferguson, who will race many of the spring classics from the Omloop to the Amstel Gold Race. The plan is for Ferguson to also ride the Giro d'Italia. A decision about the Tour will be made later.
