Pro cycling teams 2026: FDJ United-Suez aims to really deliver with Demi Vollering this year
As the 2026 cycling season gets underway, WielerFlits takes a closer look at the top teams in the peloton. In the series Cycling Teams 2026, we present these squads based on transfers, rosters, and objectives. Today, it’s FDJ-Suez’s turn. What can we expect from Demi Vollering, Juliette Berthet, and Ally Wollaston?
Looking Back at 2025
2025 was a stellar year for the women of FDJ United-Suez. The team topped the UCI Team Ranking, largely thanks to Demi Vollering, who notched ten wins for the squad. The Dutch climber won, among others, Strade Bianche, the Tour of the Basque Country, and La Vuelta Femenina, while finishing second at the Tour de France Femmes.
The team also proved last year that they have strong riders beyond Vollering. In June, Ally Wollaston won the Tour of Britain, already having three wins for the season at that point. Elise Chabbey’s overall victory in the Tour de Romandie was another highlight, earning a hefty 400 UCI points.
Transfers
FDJ United-Suez said goodbye to several riders this winter. Three Dutch riders—Lauren Molengraaf, Nina Buijsman, and Loes Adegeest—departed, while Eva van Agt was brought in. Van Agt knows what it takes to win the Tour de France Femmes, having been part of Pauline Ferrand-Prévot’s victorious team last year. The team also added some promising talents in Franziska Koch, Sofie Bertizzolo, and especially Lauren Dickson.
Ambitions
- To win the Tour de France Femmes with Demi Vollering
- To maintain the number one spot in the UCI Team Ranking
- To win one or more major spring classics with Demi Vollering
- To score in sprints with Célia Gery and Ally Wollaston
- To win stages in stage races with Elise Chabbey, Marie Le Net, Juliette Berthet
Our Expectations
Julian Dubbeld (WielerFlits reporter): "FDJ United-Suez is one of the most interesting teams in the peloton. In no time, the team has become a top-3 squad in women’s cycling. That’s largely due to Demi Vollering’s presence, but the support around Vollering is also spot on, and the team is well-balanced with riders like Juliette Berthet, Elise Chabbey, and Evita Muzic who can back Vollering strongly when the route tilts uphill. We already saw that last year in the Tour of Catalonia, where the team pulled off a one-two with Chabbey and Vollering."
"At the same time, there is a lot of talent within the team. Célia Gery is one to watch—she will be among the world’s best in two years and we’ll already see her racing finals of major races this year. There are also high expectations for British rider Lauren Dickson, who seems to have adapted quickly to the French team."
"FDJ United-Suez is expected to stamp its authority across the board this cycling season, with the main goal of winning the Tour de France Femmes with Demi Vollering. She’s going to come very close. Count on the gap between Ferrand-Prévot and Vollering in July being much smaller."
