Rick Pluimers extends with Tudor for several years: "Not a second hesitation"
It was a weekend of extremes for Rick Pluimers. The Dutchman broke two teeth in a crash at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad on Saturday and had to sit out Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, but there is also good news. The 25-year-old has extended his contract with Tudor.
"Since joining Tudor Pro Cycling in 2023, Pluimers has proven himself as a valuable asset both on and off the bike. Through his dedication, professionalism, and consistent performances, he has become a spearhead of the team on the international cycling stage," Tudor praised in a press release.
Pluimers is, of course, delighted with this new deal through 2029. "Committing my future to Tudor Pro Cycling was an easy decision. I didn’t hesitate for a second when I was given the chance to extend my contract."
Confidence
"The culture and vision of the team perfectly align with my own goals, which makes me excited to contribute to our ongoing success. Moreover, this long-term contract shows the team’s confidence in me and at the same time gives me security, confidence, and time to fully focus on my work and personal development."
CEO and co-owner Raphael Meyer of Tudor Pro Cycling adds: "Rick embodies the spirit and drive we value at Tudor and plays an important role in our growth and long-term strategy. His dedication perfectly fits our shared ambitions, and we look forward to many great moments with Rick—both on and off the bike."
Last year, Pluimers took his first pro victory for Tudor in the Muscat Classic. He also finished fifth in Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne and sixth in the Bretagne Classic in 2025. This year, he already stood on the podium (3rd) of the Classic Var.
