Paul Magnier has extended his contract with Soudal Quick-Step. The 21-year-old Frenchman, who won an impressive nineteen times in 2025, is now signed until the end of 2029. This was announced on Thursday during the WorldTeam presentation.
Magnier turned professional with Soudal Quick-Step in 2024. In his debut year as a pro, he immediately secured five victories. The following season, he hit the mark no less than nineteen times. Among those were six WorldTour wins: the first at the Tour of Poland, followed by five more at the Tour of Guangxi. He also finished second in the early-season Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
Developing Towards the Classics
Magnier was initially contracted with Soudal Quick-Step until the end of 2027, but his deal has now been extended by two years. “These first two years with the team have been incredible," he said in a reaction. "I love the atmosphere within the squad and the bond I have with the riders and staff, and I feel enormous support and trust from everyone. Moreover, I have the best possible conditions here to perform. After a season with 19 wins, it means a lot to know that the team believes in me and wants to keep building together. I am proud to continue my adventure with The Wolfpack for the next four years.”

“The team has continued to invest in its core for the classics, and that gives me a lot of confidence that I can keep developing in that direction. Being surrounded by so many experienced riders is incredibly valuable for my growth, and I want to take full advantage of that. My goal is to keep improving and winning races. Not only this season, but consistently in the years to come.”
Jurgen Foré: "Key Figure for Our Future"
Jurgen Foré, CEO of Soudal Quick-Step, calls Magnier an ‘exceptional talent.’ "From the moment he turned pro, he showed maturity and natural leadership far beyond his years, combined with the hunger and ambition that we value so highly at Soudal Quick-Step. His results speak for themselves, but equally important are his mentality and his willingness to learn, grow, and take on a leading role within the team.”
“Extending his contract was a clear and certain decision for us. Paul is a key figure for our future, and we look forward to building and winning together for the long term.”
Magnier will start the upcoming racing season at the Classica Comunitat Valenciana. Ahead of the spring classics, he will also compete in the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana and the Volta ao Algarve. Later in the year, the Giro d'Italia is also on his program.
