From 2026 onwards, Michelin will become the 'Official Technical Partner' of Team Picnic PostNL. The French company will supply tires for the Dutch cycling team and, together with the team's R&D department, work to develop the best possible bike tire. Starting in February, the Michelin tire will once again be seen in the peloton.
"In line with the philosophies of both organizations, races will serve as a platform for innovation, with the insights gained directly benefiting both the team and future consumer products," the team stated, among other things.
Piet Rooijakkers, the R&D Expert at Picnic PostNL, elaborated further in the press release about the partnership with Michelin. "The collaboration with Michelin gives us access to top-quality materials that align with our ambitions in racing. By working with their specialists, we know we are optimally prepared and can rely on tires that meet WorldTour standards.
"The direct line to their engineers makes it possible to quickly translate rider feedback and race data into concrete improvements. Continuous learning and optimization are central to Team Picnic PostNL, and with this partnership, we take another step toward better performance," said Rooijakkers.
Also a partnership with Raisin
Earlier in the day, the team also announced a new collaboration with Raisin. Raisin is a large platform for savings and investment products. Founded in 2012, the FinTech company connects consumers with banks across the EU, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The partnership will focus on storytelling about performance habits, discipline, and the cultural role of cycling in Europe.
