Alpecin-Premier Tech, Fenix-Premier Tech, and the development squads of these teams can also count on Škoda Belgium’s follow cars in the upcoming seasons. After two successful years, the agreement has been extended for another three seasons, through 2028.
Škoda has been active in cycling for many years. The established name in the automotive industry has been a loyal partner of Visma | Lease a Bike since 2021 and is also a sponsor of the Tour de France. The car brand’s name will also continue to appear on the green jersey of the Tour de France at least until 2028.
"In recent seasons, Škoda has proven to be a clear added value in the teams' daily operations," reads a statement from the team. "The spacious, comfortable, and reliable vehicles enable efficient transportation of athletes and staff during races and training camps, in all conditions."
Shared ambitions
Through the renewed partnership, Škoda will provide a total of 35 cars to the cycling teams over the next three seasons. Manager Philip Roodhooft emphasizes the mutual nature of the collaboration. "We have been very satisfied with our cooperation with Škoda over the past two years. The vehicles are an important support for our teams’ daily operations, and we greatly appreciate the trust Škoda is placing in us again."
Where Škoda strengthens us with reliable and high-performance vehicles, we as teams—besides the ambition to win races and race attractively—also have the ambition to strengthen the Škoda brand. We want to support our partner and contribute in our own way to further develop the brand. Being able to extend this collaboration by three more seasons confirms a partnership built on mutual trust and shared ambitions."
