Brandon McNulty has won the overall classification of the CRO Race 2025 after the Tour of Luxembourg. The leading position of the American from UAE Emirates XRG was no longer in danger during the final stage to Zagreb. In rainy conditions, the final stage was won by Oded Kogut (Israel-Premier Tech), who outpaced Paul Magnier and Danny van Poppel among others.
The final stage of the CRO Race started in Samobor and led the riders over more than 156 kilometers to the Croatian capital Zagreb. There wasn’t much elevation gain, which meant the sprinters could look forward to a stage victory. There was little suspense in the general classification, as leader Brandon McNulty defended a lead of over a minute and a half against Edoardo Zambanini (at 1:39) and Michal Kwiatkowski (at 1:49).

The day's five-man breakaway formed within the first half hour. Roan Konings (Metec-Solarwatt) provided the Dutch presence, and Victor Guernalec (Arkéa-B&B Hotels) was the WorldTour rider upfront. In the peloton, Soudal Quick-Step and Bahrain Victorious took the initiative.
The breakaway group didn’t get much leeway from the peloton. Riding hard was necessary anyway, as it was chilly and pouring rain on the way to Zagreb. The leading group with Konings, from which Guernalec had been dropped, entered the last 30 kilometers with a two-minute advantage.
Breakaway keeps it exciting in wet finale
In the finale, which was raced on a local circuit in Zagreb, Israel-Premier Tech, Bahrain Victorious, and Soudal Quick-Step were responsible for the chase, but the breakaway kept pushing. With 12 kilometers to go, their lead was still 1:20, making the finish exciting.
On the wet road surface, the peloton struggled to maintain high speed, but in the final local lap, the peloton finally closed in on the breakaway. Konings was left with Mark Stewart (Solution Tech-Vini Fantini) and Martin Voltr (ATT Investments), but they were caught just before the last kilometer. In the sprint that followed, Ben Turner, Danny van Poppel, and Paul Magnier positioned well, but Oded Kogut surprisingly was the fastest for Israel-Premier Tech.
