Decathlon CMA CGM poaches key domestique from Tadej Pogačar

Decathlon CMA CGM is reportedly in pole position to sign Pavel Sivakov. According to L'Équipe, the French rider is set to sign a three-year contract. Additionally, the team has its eye on Jordan Jegat.

Decathlon CMA CGM sees Sivakov as the ideal support rider for the prodigious talent Paul Seixas. Signing Sivakov aims, among other things, to convince Seixas that the French team is the right place to continue his career. There is currently a battle to secure Seixas’s signature, involving teams including UAE Emirates XRG, Sivakov’s current squad.

Furthermore, Sivakov would be offered the opportunity to ride for his own chances as well, something that rarely happens at his current team. At UAE Emirates XRG, he is considered one of the key domestiques for Tadej Pogacar.

Moreover, Jordan Jegat is also reportedly on the wishlist of the French WorldTour team. The rider who finished tenth in the most recent Tour de France is said to be in advanced talks with management. Jegat is likewise seen as a valuable addition to the team’s climbing roster.
