Experienced gravel star Tiffany Cromwell (37) continues for another year
Tiffany Cromwell will also be seen in the peloton in 2026. The now 37-year-old Australian has extended her expiring contract with CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto by one more year. She is thus preparing for her eleventh season with the German team.
In the early years of her career, Cromwell was mainly recognized as a road rider. During her peak years, she won two stages in the Giro d'Italia and the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, among others. These days, Cromwell still follows a road race program but is now making a name for herself mainly on the gravel bike. She has won several prestigious gravel races in recent years.
Cromwell – who has been in a relationship for years with the now former F1 driver Valtteri Bottas – remains highly motivated and is therefore not planning to retire yet. "Tiffany has been a pillar in the women's peloton for many years and is the only remaining rider from the original CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto squad, which debuted in the peloton in 2016," the team said in a press release. "She is happy to be able to continue that journey."
"Tiffany has been an important part of our team over the past ten years. It has been amazing to see her grow as a rider and as a leader, consistently performing at the highest level," team manager Ronny Lauke said enthusiastically. "She brings experience and reliability. With her professionalism and dedication, she is a great example for everyone around her."
Home
"The team has absolutely become my home in cycling. A place where I feel I can be myself, through all the highs and lows in my career," Cromwell said happily. "There have been times when I considered moving to other teams, but in the end, I always stayed because I am happy here. I am valued for what I can contribute to the team with my experience, and I feel appreciated by my teammates."
With Cromwell’s contract extension, CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto has completed its roster for 2026. The German squad will start the new cycling season next year with a core of sixteen riders.
