Getting closer to the Tour podium: Uno-X Mobility reveals five goals for 2026

Uno-X Mobility will step up from ProTeam to WorldTeam in 2026. And the Norwegian newcomer is doing so with ambition. On the team site, the team shared five goals for the coming season.

Among these five goals are some more general objectives, such as 'continuing progress in the classics' and 'a stronger presence in the Ardennes races.' More specifically, the aim is to reach the top ten in the Giro d'Italia.

Kulset in the Giro, Johannessen in the Tour
This should be achieved with Johannes Kulset, 'as part of his long-term development.' The just 21-year-old Kulset finished third in the 2025 AlUla Tour, tenth in O Gran Camiño, fifth in the Tour of Turkey, sixth in the Tour of Slovenia, and ninth in the Tour of Burgos. In the 2024 Tour de France — his only Grand Tour so far — he placed 47th.

Speaking of the Tour de France: Uno-X Mobility wants to come ''closer to the podium'' in that race next year than in 2025. Purely in terms of results, this means aiming for a top-five finish, since Tobias Halland Johannessen was sixth in last year's Tour de France. The 26-year-old Norwegian is once again seen as the rider who must achieve the Tour goal. Last summer, the podium was still quite far away: Johannessen finished more than twenty minutes behind winner Tadej Pogacar, and third-placed Florian Lipowitz was exactly eleven minutes back.

Giro, Tour, Vuelta
Finally, the team formulates a fifth goal: "To win stages in all three Grand Tours." Because the Norwegian outfit is joining the WorldTour, it has both the right and obligation to start in the Giro, Tour, and Vuelta. In recent years, the team only raced the Tour de France. There, Jonas Abrahamsen won the eleventh stage in the last edition, the first-ever victory for Uno-X Mobility in a Grand Tour.
