Jasper Stuyven's program shows few surprises for 2026. The Belgian recruit of Soudal Quick-Step will once again start his season at the Tour of the Algarve and is aiming again at the spring classics.
Stuyven was brought to Soudal Quick-Step to deliver results in the spring, and that is exactly where the 33-year-old former winner of Milan-San Remo, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne is being deployed in the opening months of the season.
The Belgian will ride the Opening Weekend, after which he will compete in Paris-Nice as preparation for Milan-San Remo, E3 Saxo Classic, In Flanders Fields, the Tour of Flanders, and Paris-Roubaix.
Through the team, Stuyven expresses that he already feels completely at home in his new squad. He also provides some more insight into his program. "I haven't been super competitive at the Opening Weekend in recent years, but I do know that I need those races as part of my build-up for the classics that follow. As a whole team, we are very motivated to be there right from the start."
"I am really looking forward to seeing how we will perform as a team and to see how well we already work together. We truly have a strong team, and I think we can certainly make our mark on those races. Hopefully, it goes well right from the first race, and if not, we can always look at how to improve."
