Lidl-Trek provides update on seriously fallen Juan Ayuso
Good news about Juan Ayuso. The Spaniard did not suffer any fractures in his severe crash at Paris-Nice. This was confirmed by Lidl-Trek in a brief update.
"Fortunately, X-rays at the hospital in France showed no bone fractures for Ayuso," begins the message from the German team. "A further clinical evaluation by the team doctor at the team hotel also ruled out other serious injuries. Juan will continue to be monitored by the team’s medical staff, and a new update will only be given if necessary."
Ayuso was leading Paris-Nice after three stages but could not continue after his crash. He had to abandon the race and is very disappointed about it. "Juan wants to express his disappointment about leaving the team in Paris-Nice," says Lidl-Trek. "He will continue to support his teammates from home."
