New film about Lance Armstrong in production, Austin Butler cast in lead role

A new biographical film about Lance Armstrong is coming. The American former cyclist will be involved in the film but will not have a producing role. That role goes to Edward Berger, who previously made Im Westen nichts Neues and Conclave.

It is also already known who will play Armstrong himself in the new feature film. That is Hollywood star Austin Butler, who was previously nominated for an Oscar for his role as Elvis Presley in the film Elvis. He also appeared in Dune: Part Two and Arrow.

When the film about Armstrong will be released is not yet known. The biographical film The Program (2015) was released earlier.
