Attila Valter is switching this winter from Visma | Lease a Bike to Bahrain Victorious. The Hungarian now also knows what his race schedule will look like for 2026. The 27-year-old rider is preparing for his first experience of the Belgian classics.
In an interview with Cyclism'Actu, he talks about his race calendar for the new cycling season. "Next year, I will contest many spring classics. Strade Bianche is an important race in 2026. That is truly a big goal."
"After that, I’ll head to the Opening Weekend. Next year will also be about discovering new races, including the Flemish Classics. I’m really looking forward to what lies ahead. I’m very satisfied with my race schedule; I couldn’t have wished for more."

The Hungarian — who kicks off his season on Spanish soil with the Clasica de Almería (15/02) and Clasica Jaén (16/02) — can’t yet reveal his full calendar, but he will definitely compete in a three-week Grand Tour next year. "I already know which Grand Tour, but I can’t tell you yet," he remains discreet.
Valter recently reflected on his time at Visma | Lease a Bike with Hungarian Eurosport. "I feel that in the three years I spent at Visma, I learned everything there was to learn. Maybe I made optimal use of that time. But I want to achieve much more in the future; I want to fight much more for myself."
"I felt that I wouldn’t be able to do this in that environment. I want to continue developing, so I’ve been thinking since early this year about which direction my career should take. It was hard to say no to Visma, but I increasingly feel I made the right decision. The reason for the decision was ultimately a feeling: I needed a different environment."
