Major sponsor transfer news: Alpecin-Deceuninck will continue from 2026 under the name Alpecin-Premier Tech. The Belgian team led by Mathieu van der Poel previously saw Deceuninck withdraw as title sponsor but has found a new key partner in Premier Tech for the next three years. Premier Tech recently pulled out of the Israel-Premier Tech project.
The news was announced by the Roodhooft brothers at a press conference in Antwerp. Premier Tech commits for three years (until the end of 2028) to Mathieu van der Poel’s team project, with an option for an additional three seasons. The women's team will race under the name Fenix-Premier Tech.
"There was a perception we disagree with," said team manager Philip Roodhooft, referring to stories suggesting the team would run into trouble due to the uncertain futures of some sponsors. "We waited for the right moment to communicate this. There are partners extending and no one is disappearing. All of them are extending under improved financial terms, except for one. Alpecin will definitely remain in 2026 and 2027, and that is optional for 2028."
"The teams will be called Fenix-Premier Tech and Alpecin-Premier Tech," Roodhooft said at the press conference. "Premier Tech signs for three years, with the option for another three years. [...] We considered going with Deceuninck until 2027, but at some point this partner came with a long-term vision we were looking for."

The arrival of the Canadian company Premier Tech comes with various transfers. The addition of Canadian Hugo Houle is strongly linked to the new title sponsor. The men’s team has also officially presented Maurice Ballerstedt, Francesco Busatto, Lindsay De Vylder, Jonas Geens, Tim Marsman, Florian Sénéchal, and Gerben Thijssen. For the women’s team, Lotte Claes, Mylene de Zoete, and Fien Van Eynde are new for 2026.
There had long been uncertainty about the main sponsors of Alpecin-Deceuninck. The team enjoyed many successes with Van der Poel and Jasper Philipsen but nevertheless saw co-sponsor Deceuninck leave as title sponsor. The window company will remain involved as a partner but will stop as title sponsor at the end of 2025. Shampoo brand Alpecin will remain the WorldTeam's main sponsor until the end of 2027, with an option for an additional year.
This week the Roodhooft brothers already announced that sponsors IKO and Zwift will remain on board for the coming years.
