Unibet Rose Rockets start Milano-San Remo with six debutants

Unibet Rose Rockets was one of the last teams to announce their roster for Milan-San Remo. The team of Bas Tietema, Josse Wester, and Devin van der Wiel makes its debut in La Primavera, bringing six debutants to the longest race of the year. Only Clément Venturini has previously started this Italian monument.

Sergio Meris, Tomas Kopecky, Jelle Johannink, Hartthijs de Vries, Lukas Kubis, and—yes—Wout Poels are the debutants in the Italian monument. For Johannink and Meris, it will be their very first monument. Kopecky, De Vries, and Kubis already started Paris-Roubaix last year.

On paper, Kubis and Venturini seem to be the leaders for the French ProTeam. If the Slovak and the Frenchman finish in the first big group, they can try to go for a result with their strong sprint finish. The French rider has previously finished 24th in this race.
