While Paul Seixas attracts UAE Emirates' attention, his younger brother already interned there
The new French cycling sensation Paul Seixas is still under contract with Decathlon CMA CGM, but UAE Emirates XRG is working behind the scenes to bring the 19-year-old rider on board. Whether he will sign for the Middle Eastern super team remains to be seen, but his younger brother Nino might play a crucial role.
The cycling career of the two-years-younger Nino Seixas is still in its early stages, but the 17-year-old junior is also regarded as a talented rider, competing both on the road and in cyclocross. At the end of last year, he was suddenly spotted in and around Benidorm, Spain, wearing a UAE Emirates XRG kit.
It turns out: Seixas interned with the star squad led by Tadej Pogacar in December 2025. "My internship in Benidorm with UAE Emirates XRG has ended. I had a fantastic and educational week. Many thanks to Matxin (sporting director Joxéan Fernández, ed.), without whom none of this would have been possible," he posted on Instagram at the time.
The question is whether Nino’s internship is independent of the team’s interest in his older brother Paul, or if it is a deliberate strategy to warm up the new French hope for a transfer.

The interest in the runner-up from the recent Strade Bianche was already high, but now it has intensified. Het Laatste Nieuws has learned that talks to break and extend his contract with Decathlon CMA CGM, which runs until the end of 2027, are currently on hold until after the classics. This has also been confirmed to WielerFlits.
His current team, Decathlon CMA CGM, will do everything to keep the prize asset longer. "Honestly, I’m confident," team manager Dominique Serieys told in conversation with cycling journalist Daniel Benson. "If Paul does not want to stay, that is his decision. That’s why I’m confident. But if he does believe in our project, then we will move forward together."
