Stage 2 Beringen - Putte (194.6km)
On day two, Beringen—another regular stop in the Baloise Belgium Tour—makes its usual appearance. This time, not as a finish location or host of the individual time trial, but as the starting point of a stage that takes the riders through Limburg and the Antwerp Kempen region.
It’s a true home stage for Jasper Philipsen, as the route passes just a few kilometers from his hometown of Tessenderlo-Ham. The peloton heads through Averbode, Herselt, Booischot, and Heist-op-den-Berg before arriving in Putte. Not Putte-Kapellen in the far north of Antwerp, but rather the town located in the vegetable-growing region. There too, the organizers have chosen local laps: five in total, each 25 kilometers long, with the cobbles of the Peulisbaan as the only real obstacle.
