Stage 4 Riemst - Bilzen (196.0km)
As usual, the Renewi Tour heads into Belgian Limburg on the final weekend. The roads between Riemst and Bilzen-Hoeselt form the stage’s terrain, which on paper could go several ways, but a sprint from a reduced group seems the most likely scenario — a sprint for the stronger riders capable of handling a slightly rising final kilometer. It was on a similar finish last year that Jonathan Milan left everyone behind in the opening stage.
The stage closely resembles last year’s edition. Right from the start, the peloton navigates a mosaic of hills and vineyards, skirting the language border. The organizers have designed three large local circuits, featuring climbs such as the Côte Sur les Coteaux (1.7 kilometers at 3.7%), Gousbeemdstraat (700 meters at 4.1%), Keiberg (700 meters at 5.5%), Brugstraat (500 meters at 4.3%), and Slingerberg (800 meters at 6.7%).
In the finale, the terrain eases slightly. The last climb before the finish is the Gousbeemdstraat, about 8 kilometers from the line, giving the sprinter teams time to organize. Moreover, the climbs are not steep enough to create major gaps.
