Noemi Rüegg is the overall winner of the Santos Tour Down Under 2026 for women. The final stage, featuring two climbs of Corkscrew Road as decisive factors, was won by the Swiss rider from EF Education-Oatly, but it wasn’t easy. In the challenging finale, Rüegg managed to outpace three riders from UAE Team ADQ: Mavi Garcia and Paula Blasi joined Rüegg on the final podium.
After two consecutive stage wins, Ally Wollaston of FDJ United-SUEZ held a commanding lead in the general classification. On the last day, the New Zealander defended her ochre-colored leader’s jersey in a 126.5-kilometer stage from Norwood to Campbelltown. The finale was defined by a double ascent of Corkscrew Road (2.5 km at 8.9%) in the final 25 kilometers. The last summit was around 5 kilometers from the finish.

For Ally Wollaston, the pace was far too high in the final stage. She lost more than seven minutes and had to relinquish the leader’s jersey. After an intense finale, in which UAE Team ADQ drove the race hard with three riders upfront, only Rüegg could follow. Mavi Garcia, Paula Blasi, and Dominika Wlodarczyk were together, but none of the trio could drop Rüegg either uphill or downhill. In the sprint, the Swiss was untouchable, winning decisively; she also won the Tour Down Under in 2025.
Representing Visma | Lease a Bike, Canadian Sarah Van Dam finished fifth in the overall classification. Nina Buijsman (Human Powered Health) took sixth place, and Lotte Claes (Fenix-Premier Tech) finished tenth.
