Stage 6 Valserhône - Combloux (126.7km)
In stage six, the riders will face five categorized climbs. The Côte de Villy-le-Pelloux (0.8 km at 8.1%) and the Col des Fleuries (5.1 km at 4.4%) serve as warm-ups in the first part of the stage, while the tough Côte de Mont-Saxonnex (5.4 km at 8.7%) marks the beginning of the finale. After that, a brutal double punch awaits: first the Côte de Domancy (2.4 km at 8.6%), immediately followed by the Côte de la Cry (2.7 km at 8.2%). The finish will take place on the slopes of the latter climb, in Combloux.
The Côte de Domancy—well known from previous editions of the Critérium du Dauphiné, the Tour de France, and the 1980 World Championships—will actually be the decisive climb of the 2027 Road World Championships in Haute-Savoie. Riders will face twenty laps over that brutal ascent. Thankfully, this time, they only have to tackle it once.
