Stage 7 Grand-Algueblanche - Valmeinier (131.6km)
The penultimate stage can without a doubt be labeled the queen stage of the race. Over a distance of 132.1 kilometers, the riders will have to climb no less than 63 kilometers in total. On the menu are two iconic Alpine giants: the Col de la Madeleine (24.6 km at 6.2%) and the Col de la Croix de Fer (22.4 km at 6.9%). The finish line lies at the end of a final climb of 16.5 kilometers at an average gradient of 6.7%, leading to the ski resort of Valmeinier 1800. This final ascent is an extension of the Col du Télégraphe, another classic Tour de France climb.
