Stage 21 Rome - Rome (143.0km)
The final stage in the Giro d'Italia goes through the capital. In the last 75 kilometers, the riders travel on a 9.5-kilometer circuit through the city center, passing beautiful sights such as the Fori Imperiali and the Colosseum - where undoubtedly beautiful pictures will be taken again.
The start on Sunday, June 1 is still at Vatican City. This has a special reason: to honor the late Pope Francis, who passed away at the age of 88 at the end of April and was a faithful sports follower. From the Vatican, the riders make a trip to the Tyrrhenian coast, to return to Rome after forty kilometers via the EUR. There it will be racing on the circuit. In recent years, we've seen impressive winners here, with Sam Bennett and Mark Cavendish who achieved a historic Giro victory.
