Stage 2 Brest - Quimper (110.4km)
The second stage of the Tour de France Femmes 2025 takes the riders from the port city of Brest to the historic Quimper and covers 110 kilometers with no less than 1800 meters of elevation gain. Once again, a challenging Breton route awaits with multiple climbs and a technical finish. The stage begins in the rebuilt Brest, which was completely redesigned after World War II and now buzzes more than ever. The first fifty kilometers are relatively calm, featuring some rolling hills up to 150 meters in height.
Midway, the Menez Quelerc’h (3 km at 6.2%, with peaks up to 11%) awaits. This is followed by a flatter section toward the steep Côte de Locronan (800 m at 8.9%), located by the picturesque village of the same name. The finale unfolds on a local circuit around Quimper, a city rich in culture, known for its cathedral and markets. Here riders face the Côte du Chemin de Trohéir (1.1 km at 5.7%) twice and an explosive finish: 500 meters climbing at 7.5%, followed by a downhill sprint to the line. An ideal stage for puncheurs with tactical savvy. Those who lost energy in stage one will struggle here as well. Expect fireworks in the last kilometers.
