Stage 8 Chambéry - Saint-François Longchamp (Col de la Madeleine) (111.9km)
The penultimate stage of the Tour de France Femmes 2025 is a true queen stage. It starts from the finish town of the previous day and ends atop the legendary Col de la Madeleine.
The stage opens with the Col de Plainpalais (13.3 km at 6.4%), no ‘flat palace’ as the name suggests. This climb is perfect for early attacks. Afterwards, the route winds up and down through the Alps towards the final climb: the feared Col de la Madeleine, tackled from the northern side. This hors catégorie giant is 18.6 km long with an average gradient of 8.1%. The finish is at 2000 meters altitude, making this stage the toughest of this Tour de France.
