Stage 7 Bourg-en-Bresse - Chambéry (159.7km)
The seventh stage of the Tour de France Femmes 2025 takes the peloton from Bourg-en-Bresse to Chambéry, a 160-kilometer ride featuring a flat start and a challenging finale. Although the course is almost entirely flat during the first ninety kilometers, echelon formation is possible with favorable wind strength and direction. However, the script changes completely in the final 55 kilometers.
There are three climbs to tackle in that section, including two sharp ascents: the steep Côte de Saint-Franc and the Côte de Berland. The day’s decisive climb is the Col du Granier. The women will ascend this 9.4 km Alpine pass from the relatively ‘easy’ southern side (5.3% average gradient), which has previously featured nineteen times in the men's Tour. After reaching the summit of the Granier, a 17-kilometer descent leads down to Chambéry.
